Margery "Margie" Iris Ribble was born on December 11, 1923, in Burkburnett, Texas. She married Karl Oscar "Frog" Streit on August 20, 1942, in Inglewood, California. They had two children during their marriage. She died on April 24, 2015, in Wichita Falls, Texas, at the age of 91, and was buried in Vernon, Texas.

QUANAH - K.O. " Frog" Streit, 89, died Saturday, Dec. 19, 2009. Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday in First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Lloyd Stice, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Wilbarger Memorial Park in Vernon by Smith Funeral Home. Frog was born Jan. 26, 1920, in Wilbarger County to the late Albert George and Anna Kleinhans Streit. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran of World War II and married Margie Rubble on Aug. 15, 1942, in Inglewood, Calif. Survivors include his wife, Margie Streit; two daughters, Sarah Nicholas of Wichita Falls and Carol Taylor of Hot Springs Village, Ark.; a sister, Bertha Beazley of Colorado Springs, Colo.; a brother, Edward Streit of Vernon; three grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. The family suggests memorials be to Hospice of Wichita Falls, P.O. Box 4804, Wichita Falls, TX 76308; or First United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 397, Quanah, TX 79252.
