Funeral services for Jake Fehr, age 78 of Seminole, Texas will be held Thursday, September 20, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Old Colony Church with John Peters officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Mr. Fehr was born in Mexico May 29, 1940 to Maria (Neufeld) and Isaac Fehr. He married Nancy Penner in Mexico July 5, 1964. He was a member of Old Colony Church and worked as a truck driver. Jake was known for telling amazing stories and was an avid fisherman. He loved family gatherings and was a very honest man.

Jake Fehr passed away at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas September 16, 2018. He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, one brother and two sisters. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Fehr of Seminole, Texas; one son, John Fehr and wife Margie of Oklahoma; one daughter, Mary Redecop and husband Frank of Seagraves, Texas; six brothers, Peter Fehr and wife Anna of Kansas, Isaac Fehr and wife Anna of Canada, Neil Fehr and wife Tina of Seminole, Texas, Abe Fehr and wife Greta of Canada, John Fehr and wife Sara of Seminole, Texas, and David Fehr and wife Helen of Canada; three sisters, Elizabeth Loewen and husband John of Canada, Maria Giesbrecht of Canada, and Anna Wiebe of Lubbock, Texas; ten grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
