When Ernst August Noack was born on May 17, 1885, in Warda, Texas, his father, August, was 30 and his mother, Mary, was 25. He married Maria Berton on September 20, 1905, in his hometown. They had nine children in 17 years. He died on April 26, 1972, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 86.
