When Fred Trougott Wilhelm was born on November 12, 1901, in Texas, his father, Otto, was 28 and his mother, Mary, was 20. He married Olga Christina Andres on July 27, 1924. They had six children during their marriage. He died on December 16, 1967, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 66, and was buried there.
