Obituary:
William HACKER, 83, of Booker, died December 7, 2003.

Graveside services will be held Friday, December 12, at Heart Cemetery in Booker with Rev. Gary McDonald officiating. Services are under the direction of Johnson's Good Samaritan Funeral Service of Booker.

He was born November 30, 1920 in Stratford, Oklahoma, and grew up in the Stratford and Wynnewood, Oklahoma areas, where he attended school. He married Mildred Feagins on August 18, 1942 in Sulphur, Oklahoma, and they made their home in Beaver County, Oklahoma.

He served in the United States Coast Guard, in the Pacific Theatre, during World War II. After the war, he returned to Beaver County, where he worked in construction and house painting. They moved to Booker in 1995.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Pearl HACKER.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred, of the home; two daughters, Mona GENSMAN of Darrouzett and Leah CRAIGHEAD of Woodward, Oklahoma; three half-brothers, Don HACKER of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Bobby HACKER of Minco, Oklahoma and Robert BRENTS of Lexington, Oklahoma; two half sisters, Florence "Trixie" ROGERS of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Jo Ellen COLLINS of Minco, Oklahoma; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

The family suggests memorials to Twin Oaks Manor in Booker.
