Funeral mass for Johnny Raymond Martinez,64, of Seminole were conducted Saturday June 3, 2017 at 10:00 am in the St. James Catholic Church with Father Paul Karieakatt officiating. Interment followed in the Gaines County Cemetery with services under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seminole. He passed away Saturday May 27 in Lubbock.
Johnny was born August 13, 1952 in Lamesa to Raymond and Maria Davila Martinez. Johnny Raymond and Martina Herrera were married March 3, 1991 in Tahoka. He moved to Seminole in 1992 and was a truck driver.
He is survived by his wife, Martina Herrera, of Seminole; two sons Jorge Herrera and Pete Herrera both of Seminole; four daughters, Angie Herrera of Seminole, Betty De Lo Santos of O'Donnell Connie Martinez and Josie Martinez both of Florida; one brother Johnny Martinez Jr. of Plains; stepmother Bruna Martinez of O'Donnell; two sisters Jessie Rios of Lubbock and Becky Jimenez of Seagraves; along with 13 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents.
There was a rosary held Friday June 2 at 7:00 pm in the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel.
