Funeral services for Antonio T. Mendoza, age 75 of Seminole, Texas will be held Monday, October 19, 2015 at Boyer Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. with Jaime Mendoza officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home. Rosary will be held Sunday, October 18, 2015 from 6 to 7 p.m. at Boyer Funeral Home.
Mr. Mendoza was born August 15, 1940 in Mexico to Santos (Trujillo) and Perfecto Mendoza. He married Bertha Chavez June 16, 2008 in Seminole. He was a Christian and worked as a welder; he was a very hard working man who always had a smile. He was also very outgoing, humble, giving, and caring, and he loved his coffee. Antonio, whose nickname was "7 Minas," accomplished most everything he set out to do. Mr. Mendoza loved his family dearly.
Antonio Mendoza passed away at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas Wednesday, October 14, 2015 as a result of an auto accident. He is preceded in death by his parents, six brothers, and one sister. He is survived by his wife, Bertha Mendoza of Seminole, Texas; four daughters, Emma Galindo and husband Fabian of Denver City, Texas, Cecilia Rojo and husband Luis of Hobbs, New Mexico, Estela Hernandez and husband Iram of Hobbs, New Mexico, and Leticia Mendoza of Hobbs, New Mexico; two stepsons, Efren Rodriguez of Mexico and Axel Edmundo Rodriguez of Mexico; three stepdaughters, Delma Rodriguez of Mexico, Gabina Josefina Rodriguez of Mexico, and Nohemy Rodriguez of Mexico; three brothers, Ruben Mendoza and wife Sarah of Mexico, Wenseslado Mendoza and wife Belinda of Lubbock, Texas, and Israel Mendoza and wife Eunice of Hobbs, New Mexico; five sisters, Trinidad Mendoza of Mexico, Augustina Torres of Minnesota, Alicia Dimas of Hobbs, New Mexico, Maria Elena Mendoza of Mexico, and Alejandrina Jordan and husband Martin of Hobbs, New Mexico; 30 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
