Funeral Mass for Irene Nanez, age 86 of Seminole, Texas will be celebrated Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with Father Paul Karieakatt officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole.
Irene was born July 14, 1931 in San Antonio, Texas to Paula (Sanchez) and Benito Rubio. She married Eloy Nanez in Seminole, Texas. She was a very happy person who loved to read; she also enjoyed gardening and loved hugs. Irene was known for making her famous Mexican pudding.
Irene Nanez passed away Saturday, November 18, 2017 at her residence. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Eloy; one son, one daughter and three grandchildren. She is survived by one son, Eusevio Soliz and wife Helen of Seminole, Texas; three sisters, Gloria Reyes of San Antonio, Texas, Silvia Aguilar of San Antonio, Texas, and Manuela Garcia of California; 21 grandchildren and 51 great-grandchildren.
