Funeral services for Pershal Artie Phillips, age 63, of Seminole will be held Monday, July 27, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church, with Pastor Marv Gregory officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Roy Johnson, Greg Hughes, Delmon Ellison, Chad King, Kurt Brown, Wayne Mixon, Kelly Hughes, and Otis Lee Johnson. The family will greet friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening, July 26, 2015, from 6 to 8 p.m.

Pershal Phillips was born May 4, 1952, in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to Lillie Mae (Hammons) and Arnold Phillips. He had been a resident of Seminole since 1978, moving from Littlefield. He married Vicki Keller Redman on November 14, 1991, in Lamesa. He worked in agriculture, but his true love was to farm; he was known to be a workaholic. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and golf, but loved his family first and foremost.

Pershal Phillips passed away Thursday evening, July 23, 2015, at his home. He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold Phillips; one son, Brian in 1969; one brother, Pat Phillips; and one sister, Judy Leep.

He is survived by his wife Vicki Phillips of Seminole, five sons, Jason Phillips and wife Aimee of Denton, Devin Lopez and wife Kimberly of McAlister, Oklahoma, Justin Phillips and wife Cindi of Seminole, Nathan Redman and wife Lisa of Schulenburg, and Kenneth Russell of Seminole; one daughter Natalie Gray and husband Scott of San Antonio; three brothers Perry Phillips and wife Linda of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Kevin Phillips of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, John Phillips of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; three sisters, Joyce Hiatt of Peggs, Oklahoma, June Rollins and husband Ron of Bend, Oregon, Paulette Wilson and husband Robert of Tahlequah, Oklahoma; his mother Lillie Phillips of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, and nine grandchildren.
