Funeral services for Alayna Marie Sawatzky, age 2, of Seminole were held Friday, November 17, 2017 at 2:00 PM at Sommerfeld Mennonite Church with Pastor Henry Martens officiating. Burial followed at Gaines County Cemetery. All services were under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Alayna Sawatzky was born March 30, 2015 in Lubbock to Neta (Teichroeb) and Herman Sawatzky. She was a very happy and determined child, although she had very little movement because of her illness. Alayna would always have a big smile when you played with her hands and she really enjoyed taking a bath.
Alayna Sawatzky passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at Seminole Memorial Hospital. She is preceded in death by her sister, Avary Sawatzky October 24, 2017; paternal grandfather, two cousins, one aunt, three uncles, and one great uncle.
She is survived by her parents Herman and Neta Sawatzky of Seminole; paternal grandmother Elisabeth Sawatzky of Seminole, and maternal grandparents John and Maria Teichroeb of Seminole.
