Funeral services for Johan Teichroeb, age 70 of Seminole, Texas will be held Sunday, February 17, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. at Reinlander Mennonite Church with Henry Reimer officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mr. Teichroeb was born in Mexico May 8, 1948 to Elisabeth (Wall) and Heinrich Teichroeb. He married Maria Fehr in Mexico June 21, 1968. He was member of Reinlander Mennonite Church and was a carpenter. He enjoyed woodworking, playing guitar on Saturday evenings and singing with his friends; he especially loved telling people about Jesus. He was a wonderful husband, father and grandfather.
Johan Teichroeb passed away at Seminole Memorial Hospital on Thursday, February 14, 2019. He is preceded in death by his parents, one daughter, seven brothers, one sister, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He is survived by his wife, Maria Teichroeb of Seminole, Texas; three sons, Henry Teichroeb and wife Nancy, John Teichroeb and wife Lisa, and Cornie Teichroeb and wife Nancy, all of Seminole, Texas; three daughters, Elizabeth Ginter and husband Jake, Helen Hiebert and husband George, and Neta Sawatzky and husband Herman, all of Seminole, Texas; one sister, Agatha Bergen of Seminole, Texas; 27 grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.
