When Dow Jordan Waggoner was born on February 18, 1892, in Bell, Texas, his father, Noah, was 39 and his mother, Rachel, was 37. He married Ida Kyle Ayers in 1910. They had seven children in 13 years. He died on February 11, 1958, at the age of 65, and was buried in Vernon, Texas.
