When Albert Carl Graf was born on October 22, 1904, in Warda, Texas, his father, Ernest, was 29 and his mother, Maria, was 27. He married Emma Olga Mertink on April 15, 1928, in Lee, Texas. He died on June 9, 1975, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 70, and was buried there.
