When William Charles Showers was born on August 24, 1925, in Harrold, Texas, his father, William, was 54 and his mother, Osa, was 38. He married on November 29, 1947, in Vernon, Texas. He had two children during his marriage. He died on April 8, 1990, in Graham, Texas, at the age of 64, and was buried in Vernon, Texas.

William Charles Showers, 64, lived in California from 1951-1986, when he retired as a truck driver and moved to Graham. He was a member of the Baptist Church.
William Charles Showers was a veteran of the US Navy during World War II. He was a lifetime member of the VFW.
Survived by his wife; two daughters - Julie Quenga and Peggy Watkins; one brother - Tom Showers; four sisters - Nancy Pate, Myrtle Hall, Lanora Wykel and Bessie Hendrix; two grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers - J.W. Showers and Virgil Showers; one sister - Ina Roach.
