When Alvin Robert Gloyna was born on January 15, 1898, in Fayette, Texas, his father, Ernst, was 40 and his mother, Anna, was 37. He had two children with Lydia Gertrude Graf. He died on February 23, 1986, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 88.
