Jess Newman Dies In Alto Sunday
Services were held 4 p.m. Tuesday for Jess Allen Newman, 61, of Cameron, who died Sunday in Alto, Texas.
Services were conducted by the Rev. Eugene Strickland at the Marek-Burns Funeral Home. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery with members of San Andres Lodge No. 170 conducting graveside services.
Survivors are his wife, Mrs. Louella Newman, of Cameron; two sons, Gene Newman, of Dallas, and Jack Newman of Joplin, MO., a daughter, Dr. Peggy Jo Newman, of Burnett; a brother, Dick Newman, Whittier, Calif.; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Durffey, Wellington; and one grandchild.
He had lived in Cameron for the past eight years while working as a salesman for a Fort Worth chemical concern. He was a member of Loco Masonic Lodge.
