Services Held For Waco Youth; Interment Here
Michael Hugh Shelley, age 17 of Waco, grandson of Mrs. Hugh Powell of Rt. 1 and the late Hugh Powell, died in his home at 6 a.m. Thursday, July 26. Justice of the Peace, John Cabinaas, ruled that death was accidental.
Services were held on Saturday, July 23, at St. Mary's Catholic Church of the Assumption in Waco with Msgr. John J. Kearns officiating. Interment was in Oak Hill Cemetery in Cameron, with the Rev. John Geiser, of St. Monica's Catholic Church conducting graveside services.
Michael is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cliff Shelley, his brother, Ricky Shelley, three sisters, Deborah, Suzanne and Letty Shelley all of Waco. He is also survived by his grandparents, Mrs. Hugh Powell of Rt. 1, Cameron, and Mr. and Mrs. C. J. Tabor of Alexandria, La.
