When Sam Partin McWilliams was born on December 31, 1894, in Henderson, Texas, his father, Wilburn, was 34 and his mother, Margaret, was 36. He had one son and one daughter with Martha Elizabeth Frances Fredonia Davis between 1917 and 1920. He died on January 11, 1978, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 83, and was buried there.
