When Mable Berniece Plummer was born on September 3, 1909, in Miami, Florida, her father, Malcolm, was 30, and her mother, Josephine, was 22. She married Thomas Harold Connally Jr. on June 18, 1933, in her hometown. They had one child during their marriage. She died on March 28, 1991, in Trion, Georgia, at the age of 81, and was buried in North Miami, Florida.

When Robert Oscar Plummer was born on August 22, 1902, in Oklahoma, his father, William, was 27 and his mother, Mary, was 21. He had one son and one daughter with Lorene Baker between 1925 and 1929. He died on November 6, 1971, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 69.
