When Henry Christian Streit was born on November 11, 1907, in Vernon, Texas, his father, Albrecht, was 40 and his mother, Anna, was 28. He married Lorena Sophia Streit on December 22, 1932, in Wilbarger, Texas. They had one child during their marriage. He died on August 6, 1972, in Wichita Falls, Texas, at the age of 64, and was buried in his hometown.
