Graveside services for Norman Sims, age 86 of Seminole, Texas will be held Wednesday, November 10, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. at Gaines County Cemetery with Jerry Stewart officiating. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers donation can be made to Lone Star Cowboy Church located at 1309 E. FM 1585, Lubbock, Texas 79423

Mr. Sims was born December 30, 1934 in Lingleville, Texas to Odeal (Robinson) and Hugh Thomas Sims. He grew up in Lingleville, Texas working on the family farm with his brothers. He married Mozelle Brock on April 19, 1957 in Stephenville, Texas. He worked as a mechanic until he retired in 1997 and always enjoyed going back to the family farm spending time with his brothers and hunting. After he retired he enjoyed spending most of his time in Ruidoso, New Mexico at River Ranch Campgrounds, where he established numerous friends. He loved horse racing and riding around thru the mountains.

Norman Sims passed away Saturday, November 6, 2021 at Seminole Memorial Hospital.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Mozelle Sims in 2014, four brothers, and one sister. He is survived by three daughters, Tammy Fields and husband Jim of Earth, Texas, Tona Nelson and husband Larry of Seagraves, Texas, and Treva Tuttle and husband Mike of Seminole, Texas; one brother, Arlis Sims and wife Shirley of Lingleville, Texas; nine grandchildren, Jessica Falcon and husband Dale of Olton, Texas, Jayme Willden and husband Jordan of Seymour, Texas, Jeremy Nelson and wife Bree of Seagraves, Texas, Dustin Nelson and wife Angel of Seagraves, Texas, Danielle Kahlich and husband Phillip of Hereford, Texas, Kaci Tuttle of Midland, Texas, Garrett Tuttle and Bethany of New Braunfels, Texas, Justin Tuttle of Midland, Texas, and Kayli Tuttle and Chris Navarro of Seminole, Texas; and 13 great-grandchildren.
