*Obituary Neva Jo Sanders Hutson
A memorial service for Jo Hutson, 88 of Lubbock and formerly of Seminole is planned for February 10, 2024 at 2 p.m. at the First Assembly of God Church located at 109 SW Ave. G in Seminole. The family held a private burial service on January 29, 2024. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

The following obituary has been written by family members to express their loss. Neva Joan "Jo" Hutson passed away on January 24, 2024, at the age of 88 and will be dearly missed by friends and family. She was born to Floyd and Lena Boggs Sanders on December 29, 1935, in Elgin, Oklahoma. Jo married Alvin Hutson on May 27, 1955 in Fletcher. He preceded her in death on April 25, 2001.

The family lived in Seminole since 1968. Beloved children are Joe Allen and his wife Linda of Lubbock, Ronnie and his wife Connie of Mesquite, Lonnie and his wife Sue of Missouri City, and Tammy and her husband Chet of Seminole.

Jo was fiercely proud of her children. She was Gigi to 12 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.

Christmas gatherings in Seminole are fond memories of all the kids. The family attended First Assembly of God Church in Seminole. Jo and Alvin enjoyed traveling with their church friends to their cabin in Cloudcroft, New Mexico. She loved watching sports; especially Texas Rangers baseball. Jo retired from Gaines County Abstract Company.

She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers, David, Leroy, and Glen Sanders.
The family wishes to thank the many caregivers at Carillon House and Gentiva Hospice in Lubbock who was kind and gentle caregivers to Jo. The family suggests memorials to the First Assembly of God Church or a favorite charity.
