Funeral Mass for Lucille Lujan, age 89 of Red Hill, Pennsylvania and formerly of Seminole, Texas will be celebrated Friday, June 26, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at St. James Catholic Church with father Jose De Dios Gonzalez officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. Rosary will be held at the church on Thursday, June 25, 2020 from 6 to 7 p.m. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home of Seminole, Texas. The church will allow a limited number of attendees inside for the funeral service, and it is suggested that a mask be worn and social distancing practiced, in keeping with CDC guidelines.

Mrs. Lujan was born September 14, 1930 in Alpine, Texas to Adelina (Garcia) and Cipriano Mata. She married Benigno Lujan in Midland, Texas in 1946. She was a homemaker and a Catholic who was very strong in her Catholic faith. She worked hard and was a great cook. Lucille enjoyed dancing, never met a stranger, and her grandchildren were the stars in her crown.

Lucille passed away peacefully at her daughter’s home in Pennsylvania Friday, June 19, 2020. She is preceded by her parents; her husband, Benigno Lujan in 2010; and one son, Robert Lujan in 2014.

She is survived by three sons, Mingo Lujan and wife Yolanda of Las Vegas, Nevada, Henry Lujan and wife Johnnie of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Christopher Sandoval of Austin, Texas; eight daughters, Adeline Felix, Lela Garcia and husband Isauro, Corina Perea, Sandra Vega, Jennifer Lujan, Cindy Lujan, all of Las Vegas, Nevada; Linda Alvarez of Seminole, Texas, and Sylvia Lujan Harmon and husband Eric of Red Hill, Pennsylvania; one brother, Delfin Mata of Carlsbad, New Mexico; two sisters, Rosie Arnold of Midland, Texas, and Helen Mata of Carlsbad, New Mexico; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. www.boyerfuneral home.net
