Miss Emma Taylor, 55, died at the home of her sister, Mrs. G. W. MCollum and Mr. McCollum with whom she had lived for many years in the Center Point community, Thursday, March 21, 1940 following a long illness. Deceased was a native of Alabama, but had lived in Texas the past forty seven years. She joined the Methodist church at the age of 17 years. Funeral services were held from the Methodist church in Omaha t 2:30 o'clock, Friday afternoon, with Rev. Ben Anderson, pastor of the church, and Rev. A. J. Findley, Baptist Minister, officiating. Burial was made in the Concord cemetery. Pall bearers were T. A. Thigpen, Floyd Story, D. L. Robinson, B. C. Vickers, Joe Williams and A. W. Liles. Survivors are her father, J. J. Taylor, one brother, Joe Taylor of Omaha; two sisters, Mrs. Ruth Wright of Mt. Pleasant, and Mrs. G. W. McCollum of Omaha; two half sisters and two half brothers.
