Funeral services for Peter Knelsen, age 47 of Lamesa, Texas will be held Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at Old Colony Mennonite Church in Seminole with Willie Giesbrecht officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Mr. Knelsen was born September 15, 1968 in Mexico to Christina (Loewen) and Peter Knelsen. He married Tina Enns on July 26, 1992 in Mexico. Peter Knelsen worked as a farmer and was a member of the Old Colony Mennonite Church. He passed away at his home in Seminole, Texas on Saturday, November 7, 2015.

Peter Knelsen is preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Judie Knelsen; and one sister.

Peter Knelsen is survived by his wife, Tina Knelsen of Lamesa, Texas; two sons, Peter Knelsen and wife Lisa of Tarzan, Texas and Jacob Knelsen of Lamesa, Texas; three daughters, Christina Knelsen of Lamesa, Texas, Eva Knelsen of Lamesa, Texas, and Tina Knelsen of Lamesa, Texas; five brothers, Diedrich Knelsen and wife Sarah of Canada, Gerhard Knelsen and wife Helena of Mexico, John Knelsen and wife Margaret of Stanton, Texas, Jacob Knelsen and wife Elizabeth of Brownfield, Texas, and Franz Knelsen and wife Aganetha of Mexico; and six sisters, Helena Schmitt and husband Peter of Mexico, Justina Dyck and husband Peter of Seminole, Texas, Katarina Peters and husband Jacob of Mexico, Agatha Peters and husband Franz of Mexico, Aganetha Peters and husband Bernard of Mexico, and Anna Funk and husband Bernard of Seminole, Texas.
