Pete Roberts, 81, of Andrews died Tuesday, June 20, at Permian Residential Care Center in Andrews. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, June 22, at McNett Funeral Home Chapel with David King of Andrews officiating. Burial will be in Andrews North Cemetery under the direction of McNett Funeral Home.
Roberts was born Aug. 22, 1924, in Wilbarger County. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II from 1944 until 1953.
He married Margoary Gambrell on June 24, 1950, in Ardmore, Okla. They moved to Andrews County in 1954 from Seminole.
He was a water flood plant operator for Exxon when he retired.
Survivors include his wife of Andrews; two daughters, Darlene Roberts of Plano and Denise Pogue of Odessa; a brother, S.D. "Speck" Roberts of Andrews; a sister, Sue Brock of Andrews; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
