Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 4, 2013 at 4:00 PM at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel, officiating will be Tom & Linda Barrett. Interment will be held at Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home. Roe was born Tuesday, March 4, 1924 in Lula, Oklahoma. He was the son of the late Samuel Hallmark and the late Maggie Johnson Hallmark. He married Wanda Pauline "Polly" Bailey on September 20, 1942 in Altus, OK. She preceded him in death. He married Pauline Ann Herrol in New Mexico in 1949. He was raised outside of Harrold, TX. He was a graduate of Harrold High School in 1941. He attended college in El Paso after marrying Pauline. He serves in the US Army Air Corps from 1941-1944. He worked as a welder for many years on the pipeline in the south. Owned various restaurants, motels, stores worked as a Captain for Vernon Police Dept. retiring in mid-1980's when he still owned and operator of Hallmark Motel for over 30 years He sold in in 2005. He served as Pastor of Community of Christ First People's Church in Davidson, OK. He later worked as a Missionary. He is survived by His Daughters Paula Kay Coussons of Vernon, TX. Rosemary Huber of Deming, NM. Roellen Kemper of Las Vegas, NV. Step-Daughter Angela Teeple McLain of Colfax, WA. One Sister Mattie Rogers of Vernon, TX. 9 grandchildren 14 great grandchildren He was a father and grandfather to many friends of the family. Preceded in death by his son Sammy Roe Hallmark, two brothers and one sister. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 3, 2031 at 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Sullivan Funeral Home. Memorials can be made to favorite charity.
