When William Edgar Lovelace was born on February 3, 1906, in Wilbarger, Texas, his father, Thomas, was 27 and his mother, Willie, was 20. He married Lucile Marie Smith on August 11, 1932, in Tillman, Oklahoma. They had two children during their marriage. He died on January 10, 1985, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 78.
