Funeral services for Elizabeth Klassen, age 92 of Seminole, were held Tuesday, June 14, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. at M.S. Doss Chapel with Pastor David Klassen officiating. Burial followed at Gaines County Cemetery. All services were under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.
Mrs. Klassen was born June 10, 1924 in Eagle Pass to Anna (Miller) and Abram Bergen. She married Johan Klassen July 25, 1943 in Mexico. She was a member of the Old Colony Mennonite Church and a homemaker who enjoyed gardening, raising chickens, sewing and singing. Elizabeth loved her family dearly and always made the best of any situation.
Elizabeth Klassen passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Memorial Health Care Center in Seminole. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Johan Klassen in 1967, one son, three daughters, and one brother.
She is survived by three sons Abram Klassen and husband Helen of Seminole, John Klassen of Seminole, Isaak Klassen and wife Anna of Canada; five daughters Sara Letkeman and husband Peter of Canada, Elizabeth Bergen and husband Ben of Seminole, Anna Letkeman of Seminole, Kathie Letkeman of Lubbock, Martha Zetta and husband Nick of Arlington; 36 grandchildren, 87 great-grandchildren and six great- great-grandchildren.
