Married to Amy Glen Lynch in 1895. They had a daughter, Thelma.
Mr. George McSpadden was the owner of the Alamo Saloon on the town square of Lipscomb in the early 1900s. He supplemented the family holdings by farming and doing occasional veterinary work. When the locals voted to prohibit the sale of intoxicating beverages in 1908, the building was probably used for a pool hall under McSpadden's proprietorship. The building was moved off the lot in 1916 to make way for the construction of the Lipscomb County Courthouse. George and his wife, Amy are both interred in the Lipscomb Cemetery.
