When Robert Charles Huntley was born on December 18, 1897, in Vernon, Texas, his father, Elijah, was 44 and his mother, Susan, was 35. He married Eula Inez Braswell on December 10, 1914. They had five children during their marriage. He died on August 27, 1959, in his hometown at the age of 61.
