When William Ernest (Buss) Clawson was born on February 14, 1908, in Bridgeport, Texas, his father, King, was 31 and his mother, Jessie, was 25. He married Ethel Louise Daniel/Clawson/Leverett in April 1936 in Vernon, Texas. They had one child during their marriage. He died on July 20, 1971, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 63, and was buried there.
