When Floyd Martin "Pete" King was born on January 22, 1922, in Parker, Texas, his father, Thomas, was 25 and his mother, Bertha, was 23. He married Anna Ruth Young-King-Billings on November 1, 1942. They had three children during their marriage. He died on April 10, 1962, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 40.
