QUANAH - Lynda Marie Hughes Boyd, 53, died Saturday, Nov. 25, 2000, in Wichita Falls.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday in First Baptist Church with the Rev. Clinton Young, minister, officiating. Burial will be in Wilbarger Memorial Park by Price Jackson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Boyd was born in Vernon, graduated from Vernon High School and attended Vernon Regional Junior College. In 1975, she moved to Quanah, where she was a teacher's aide for Quanah Junior High School and drove the school bus. She was a member of Texas State Teachers Association, ESA Sorority, Ladies Golf Association, Quanah Country Club and First Baptist Church. She taught private art lessons and worked as a nurse's aide.

She married James L. Boyd in 1967 at Vernon.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Janna Morrow of Carrollton; a son, Trenton Boyd of Quanah; her parents, Floyd and Daisy Hughes of Vernon; a brother, David Hughes of Vernon; two sisters, LaDonna Anderson of Vernon and Sandra Simmons of Everett, Wash.; and two grandchildren.
