Funeral services for John Fast Guenther, 54, of Seminole will be conducted Wednesday, January 31 at 2:00 pm in the Mennonite Evangelical Church with the Rev. John Frose officiating. Interment will follow in the Gaines County Cemetery with services under the direction of Ratliff Funeral home. Mr. Guenther passed away on January 28 in Seminole.

John was born on June 9, 1963 in Mexico to Jacob Guenther and Susana Fast Guenther. He married Katharina Wiebe on July 4, 1982. John was a farm employee and was a member of the Mennonite Evangelical Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Katharina on July 12, 2009; his father, Jacob Guenther on October 1, 2008 and four brothers.

Survivors include one son, John Guenther, Jr. of Morton; four daughters, Lena Rempel & husband David, Tina Froese & husband Peter, Susie Penner & husband Jacob all of Seminole and one daughter, Elisabeth Neufeld & husband David of Brownfield; his mother, Susanna Guenther of Seminole; two brothers, Abe Guenther & wife, Agnes of Seminole and Peter Guenther & wife Melissa of Greenville; six sisters, Susan Wiebe & husband Abe of Welch, Mary Towery & husband, Rocky of Amarillo, Kathy Neufeld & husband Henry of Denver City, Annie Dennis & husband Rodney of Gorman, Beth Jenkins & husband Shawn of Seminole, and Annette Kennedy of Seminole; 16 grandchildren.
