When Jimmy Earl Desha was born on September 4, 1945, in Vernon, Texas, his father, James, was 19 and his mother, Mary, was 20. He had one son with Sarah Sue Whitt in 1966. He died on April 12, 2001, in Wichita Falls, Texas, at the age of 55.
