When William Andrew Jacobs was born on May 16, 1892, in Garden Valley, Texas, his father, James, was 31 and his mother, Mary, was 20. He married Elfie Mable Milson (1895–1917)and they had four children together. He then married Kitty Zeffie Alexander (1896–1984) and they had six children together. He died on July 1, 1967, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 75, and was buried there.
