Funeral mass for Samuel G. Nerios, 52, will be held Monday, Nov. 28, 2016, at 10 a.m. in the St. Paul's Catholic Church of Seagraves with Father Paul Karieakatt saying mass. Services will be under the direction of Ratliff Funeral Home of Seagraves. Interment will follow in the Gaines County Cemetery in Seagraves. There will be a Rosary on Sunday, Nov. 27, at 6 p.m. at the Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel.

He passed away Nov. 23, 2016, in Lubbock. Samuel was born Jan. 22, 1964, in Three Rivers, Texas, to Carlos and Carolina Nerios. He graduated from Seagraves High School in 1982. After graduation, Samuel went to Texas Tech University, in Lubbock, where he graduated with a degree in Political Science. Samuel worked as a drug and alcohol counselor and was a member of the Catholic Church. Samuel is survived by his father and mother, Frank and Carolina Nerios of Seagraves; a daughter, Briana Nicole Nerios and a son, Brandon Nicolas Nerios, both of New Braunfels; a brother, Mark Anthony Nerios and his wife, Lauriana of Lubbock, and two nephews, Sergeant Jacob Gomez and Sebastian Nerios, both of Lubbock. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends.
