When Orville Loyd Davidson was born on May 23, 1914, in Eureka, Texas, his father, William, was 24 and his mother, Hollie, was 19. He married Ivy Lavinia Pricilla Dove on July 20, 1932, in Frederick, Oklahoma. They had three children during their marriage. He died on June 18, 1998, in Dalhart, Texas, at the age of 84, and was buried in Vernon, Texas.
