When A C Castleberry was born on January 29, 1923, in Vernon, Texas, his father, Steven, was 41 and his mother, Beulah, was 33. He married Mary Francis Boone in 1946 in his hometown. He died on July 4, 1985, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, at the age of 62, and was buried in Vernon, Texas.
