Loyd E Stamps married Anna Mae McCurley on 21 December 1926 at Waurika, Oklahoma. The couple moved from Sweetwater to Vernon in 1952.
Services for Loyd E Stamps, 83, were held at First Baptist Church at Vernon officiated by Rev. Charles Becton. Mr. Stamps was a retired farmer and a deacon of First Baptist Church. He taught the Buchner Sunday School Class.
Survived by his wife; three sons - Charley David Stamps, William Jack Stamps, John Thomas Stamps; one daughter - Bobbie June Hamilton; one brother - Leo Stamps; four sisters - Nellie Morgan, Nora Robison, Marguerite Bollinger; Ozella Price; 10 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren.
