When Leonard Allen Clark was born on March 11, 1922, in Mineral Wells, Texas, his father, Leonard, was 16 and his mother, Beatrice, was 17. He married Norma Lea Hoffman on August 1, 1942, in Kay, Oklahoma. They had one child during their marriage. He died on April 28, 1973, in Sherman, Texas, at the age of 51, and was buried in Vernon, Texas.
