Funeral services for Edwin Earl Chanley, Jr., age 71 of Seminole, Texas, will be held Monday, August 12, 2019 at 1:00 p.m. at M.S. Doss Chapel with Pastor Jotty Kinney officiating. Burial will follow at Gaines County Cemetery. All services are under the direction of Boyer Funeral Home.

Mr. Chanley was born June 11, 1948 in Nowata, Oklahoma to Lois (Partridge) and Edwin Earl Chanley, Sr. He married Peggy Mapp in Roswell, New Mexico on January 26, 1997. He was a member of the Church of Christ and worked in the oilfield. Mr. Chanley was a hard working man. In his spare time he enjoyed collecting things, woodworking, photography, spending time with his grandchildren, and hunting and fishing. He loved his family dearly.

Edwin Earl Chanley passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Dustin Chanley; and one sister, Toby Delk. He is survived by his wife Peggy Chanley of Seminole, Texas; three sons, Ricky Woods of Hobbs, New Mexico, Clint Chanley and wife Tabatha of Kenai, Alaska, and Casey Chanley and wife Toni of Franklin, Texas; three daughters, Vicky Wilson and husband Paul of Hobbs, New Mexico, Darla Pierce and husband Billy of Seminole, Texas, and Carrie Harlow and husband Chad of Round Rock, Texas; three brothers, Chuck Chanley and wife Norma of Hobbs, New Mexico, Rodney Chanley and wife Mary of Hobbs, New Mexico, and Ty Chanley of Eunice, New Mexico; one sister, Linda Brice and husband Ronnie of Midland, Texas; eleven grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
