When Jonathan Pitt Milner was born on August 15, 1868, in Union, Louisiana, his father, Jonathon, was 37 and his mother, Susan, was 31. He married Elizabeth Ellen Allen on December 27, 1893, in Comanche, Texas. They had five children in 24 years. He died on January 23, 1956, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 87, and was buried there.
