When Lester Babbitt and his twin brother Lester Lee were born on April 22, 1911, in Coryell, Texas, their father, Charles, was 22, and their mother, Maggie, was 25. He married Evelyn Reed on August 20, 1934, in Guadalupe, Texas. They had one child during their marriage. He died on November 4, 1981, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 70, and was buried there.
