Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Sullivan Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Scott Arant officiating. Burial will follow in Wilbarger Memorial Park under the direction of Sullivan Funeral Home of Vernon.
Mr. Hawkins worked in the oil field.
Survivors include wife, Patricia Ann Hawkins; children, Charles Hawkins of Vernon, Tony Hawkins of Boszeman, Mont., Carl Hawkins of Odell, Texas, Dub Hawkins and Ray Hawkins, both of Marble Falls, Texas, Johnnie Hawkins of Crowell, Deane Martinez of Vernon, and Chad Hawkins of Burnet, Texas; three brothers, William Hawkins of Vernon, Ronnie Hawkins of Denton, Texas, and Larry Hawkins of Wichita Falls; two sisters, Louise Wilder of Elkahone, Calif., Joanne Walker of Vernon; 26 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society.
