When Marvin Eric Barnhill was born on June 27, 1916, in Hardin, Tennessee, his father, Marvin, was 20 and his mother, Gencie, was 21. He had one brother and four sisters. He died on December 16, 1967, in Midland, Texas, at the age of 51, and was buried in Vernon, Texas.
