When William Fluhmann was born on February 11, 1901, in Texas, his father, Robert, was 20 and his mother, Alma, was 12. He married Viola Bass in 1922 in Wilbarger, Texas. He died on March 16, 1980, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 79, and was buried there.
