When Aubrey Porter was born on September 16, 1906, in Jack, Texas, her father, William, was 47, and her mother, Alice, was 38. She married Mack Felkner Riggs on November 18, 1923, in her hometown. They had four children in 11 years. She died on December 11, 1971, in Las Cruces, New Mexico, at the age of 65, and was buried in Vernon, Texas.

They had four children in 11 years. He died on December 3, 1966, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 62, and was buried there.
