When Dorothy Maxine Riggs was born on November 17, 1924, in Jacksboro, Texas, her father, Mack, was 20, and her mother, Aubrey, was 18. She married Calvin Crawford Young on June 20, 1942, in Altus, Oklahoma. They had one child during their marriage. She died on October 18, 1971, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 46, and was buried there.

When Calvin Crawford Young was born on August 30, 1925, in Durant, Oklahoma, his father, Thomas, was 20 and his mother, Dovie, was 21. He married Dorothy Maxine Riggs and they had one daughter together. He then married Tommye June Lewis on December 11, 1989. He died on October 9, 2006, in Vernon, Texas, at the age of 81, and was buried there.
